University of North Texas Green Machine (3) VS. Texas A&M University Aggies (14)
A&M hosted the Mean Green Eagles from the University of North Texas in a return visit of the season opener for both teams in October. Memories were fresh as both teams remembered the previous physical contest and both teams were looking forward to adding to their win column.
This was the Aggies night – UNT came to town with a short bench after a long car ride – and it showed. The Eagles scored the first goal of the evening and initiated some scoring drives but could never sustain any systematic offensive pressure.

A&M applied constant and persistent pressure on UNT resulting in a balanced scoring attack from 11 players. We (politely) offered the Mean Green Machine ‘North Gate’ as the evening’s entertainment and we look forward to Saturday’s rematch.
