UTSA Roadrunners (4) VS. Texas A&M University Aggies (3)

After an intense game the night before, both A&M and UTSA ready to fight another round on Saturday night. The stands were more packed than they had been on Friday, and the fans were just as excited as the players.

UTSA again captured a relatively early lead halfway through the first period, and echoed the goal with 1:43 on the clock. The first period ended 2-0, but they kept up their play through the second period, scoring another one a little over a minute in for a 3-0 lead.

Ten rough minutes passed until Michael Zahner attempted a wrap-around that went off the far post. Justin Cooley found it and buried it to put the Aggies on the scoreboard at 8:12.

The Roadrunners were still determined and slid one more in with 1:36 to go, and the second period ended 4-1.

After the intermission, the Aggies really picked up their game, but no goals were scored until 13:45. Brian Young took a shot from the point as the UTSA goalie was screened and scored a power play goal—4-2.

At 10:38, the Aggies capitalized on a power play as Cooley took a shot from the point and brought the score to 4-3.

The rest of the period ticked by as the Aggies fought to catch up, but unfortunately, it just did not happen. UTSA won the game 4-3.
